This is the 2nd annual Divorce With Respect Week: March 6 – 10, 2023!  Collaborative Practice California launched Divorce With Respect Week in 2022, attracting over 5,000 visitors to its website within five days.

Collaborative Practice California, the umbrella group for all of California’s Collaborative Practice Groups, is offering California residents FREE 30-minute divorce consultations provided by volunteer attorneys, mental health professionals, and divorce financial specialists. These consultations are like any intake meeting with a prospective client.

Collaborative Divorce is a more peaceful process for resolving family law disputes where two parties work with attorneys, child specialists, mental health professionals, and financial specialists to craft their own divorce agreements. Together, these professionals help clients reach agreements that meet their individual needs. Decisions are made by the couple without going to court or involving a judge or other third-party decision maker.

Interested California residents should visit divorcewithrespectweek.com to find a participating professional and to schedule a free 30-minute consultation. You select your choice of profession for your consultation: attorney, mental health professional, or divorce financial specialist. Your selected professional will meet privately with you during an informal virtual meeting to answer your questions about options for divorce and how your divorce can be managed respectfully and without going to court. Your meeting time will be scheduled at a mutually acceptable time. This is an informational meeting only, designed to help you learn more about no-court options and does not create any obligation to move forward.
